The Culture and Heritage Unit was engaged by the managers of the Bunya Mountains National Park to identify and assess Aboriginal heritage places within the area.
Our work involved historical research, archaeological survey and Aboriginal community consultation. It resulted in the preparation of a management strategy for the national park that draws on the stories and management recommendations of the local traditional owners.
